Your baby’s first birthday is such a special chapter, and a cake smash session is a fun way to capture their personality, curiosity, giggles, and all the wonderfully messy moments that come with it.

In my Nerang studio, we can create a setup that suits your vision — from simple and timeless to colourful or themed concepts designed especially for your little one. Sessions can also include beautiful sitter portraits before the cake and a little bath or splash at the end, making the experience even more memorable.

If you prefer something more natural and relaxed, outdoor cake smash sessions are also available, giving your little one plenty of space to explore while we incorporate the beauty of the outdoors into their celebration.

As a mum myself, I know how quickly that first year disappears. One minute they’re tiny in your arms, and suddenly they’re sitting, crawling, laughing, and discovering the world around them.

These photographs are about more than the cake — they’re about remembering exactly who your little one was at this beautiful stage of life.

Do you provide the cake?

I can help you to organise the cake outside of the session you booked. I would love to assist however food and safety is the most important to me so I encourage the parents to bring their own cake

When is the best time to shoot the smash cake

Once your bub hit around 10-11 months. Reach out to me if you have specific idea in mind so that I could arrange and purchase the props at least 1-2 months of time

Do you do cake smash outdoors

Of course! I can do cake smash at your home or at the park. Make sure you organise with me in advance so that I can manage my props during the photoshoot.

Do you have any themes?

Yes I do, you can email me for the existing backdrops I have or if you want your own theme, you can arrange it with me and Ill make one for you. I just need at least 2-4 weeks to order balloons, prints for the shoot

Do you do family shoot during the cake smash session

Unfortunately, my little studio is set up exclusively for cake smash sessions. Due to its compact size, I can only accommodate a single setup at a time. For family shoots, I recommend booking a separate session at a different time to ensure the best experience for everyone.
