My Little Studio in Nerang

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

If you’ve stumbled across my page, chances are you’re planning an upcoming photoshoot — and I’m so glad you’re here! I like to give my clients plenty of information so they know what to expect when they arrive at my studio.

Let me introduce you to my little space.

The Story Behind My Studio

I’ve always dreamed of having my own studio — a safe space for families, a creative playground, and a backup location for rainy days. After I had my son, this dream became my postpartum project. With the support of my family, I transformed our spare garage (about 2x3 metres) into what I lovingly call my little studio. My husband painted the walls, and together we created a cozy space where magic happens.

It’s true — the studio is small, and I do sometimes wish it were bigger. But what I’ve come to realise is this: the outcome of your photos doesn’t depend on how grand the space is — it’s about the moments we capture together.

Location & Landmarks

We’re tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac in Nerang. Our address is 5 Forestwood Court, Nerang. When you arrive, you’ll spot our house — the third one on the right. You’re welcome to park in the driveway for easy access, and the studio (our garage) is right there at the end of the drive.

Preparation

I appreciate it when clients send me their ETA so I can be ready and plan ahead — especially since my husband and I take turns looking after our son.

To make things smoother:

  • Wear your chosen outfit before arriving — there isn’t much room for changing inside.
  • Bring only the essentials — the studio is compact, and minimal items help us make the most of the space.

Coming with Family

Because of the studio’s size, it’s important to prepare family members (especially little ones). The window area and backdrop side can be hazardous if touched, so I ask parents to keep an eye on their kids during the session. I do my best to help entertain them with music or a bit of screen time if needed.

Set Up

While the space is small, I offer a variety of backdrop styles to suit your shoot. Whether you’re after a cozy living room vibe, boho style, or a clean, minimalist look, I’ve got options for you to choose from.

What to Wear

Just like my outdoor sessions, I encourage clients to stick with natural colours — think whites, pastels, and earthy tones. These colours photograph beautifully and help create soft, timeless images that suit the light and set-up in the studio.

A Collaboration

When you come prepared — and the little ones are in a good mood — I’m confident we can create so many beautiful images together. My goal is always to make the experience enjoyable, relaxed, and rewarding for everyone.
